NIDEK proposes, for heavy-duty production units or plants, a compact and robotised edging solution, comprising the heavy-duty SE-9090 Supra edger and independent robots, in charge of loading the glasses.
In order to meet important assembly needs, NIDEK proposes a range of edgers dedicated to laboratories and plants. This range includes a machine with dual train of wheels, the SE-9090 Supra, an external drilling module, the AHM-1000 Supra and a range of RHU robots to load the glasses and able to adapt to any configuration and meet all the requirements. These equipments are compact, so they can fit all the workshops. The SE-9090 Supra edger proposes 2 vertical trains of wheels, coming in contact with the glass at the same time. To perform the roughing, going only once around the glass is enough, thus ensuring a perfect focusing and line centering while reducing as much as possible the cycle time. The SE-9090 Supra includes an efficient 3D creasing module and some patented specific wheels designed to strong-base glasses (PLB-8S model) and the Step bevel.
Thanks to the versatile set, the SE-9090 Supra can perform all the assemblies, from the simplest ones to the most technical ones, at a unique speed, with reduced cycle times, with no compromises on quality and accuracy. To perform the simplest jobs, the no-creasing SE-9090 Supra Lite version is available. In order to meet all the needs, the machine can come complete with the optional AHM-1000 Supra external drilling module. Use it to perform all types of drilling, such as simple holes, notching, jumpers, etc. The traditional machines, used in shops, are loaded manually. This is a waste of time: the edger waits for the operator to fit a glass, then to take the glass out at the end of the cycle, then to fit the next glass, etc. The fitter has to set the glasses into the machine: this task takes a lot of time and is not valuable.
To reduce these downtimes as much as possible and to streamline the assembly flow, NIDEK has designed three robotised arm independent systems, called RHU, to load and unload the SE-9090 Supra edger and the AHM-1000 Supra drilling module. For fully automated manufacturing lines with conveying belts (CB version) or totally independent, with peniche loading/unloading system (S version), the RHU robot arms perfectly fit all the assembly workshops. Depending on the duty and the workshop configuration, different models are available: RHU-100 (S or CB version) designed to be equipped with an SE-9090 supra edger, RHU-1500 (S or CB version) designed to be equipped with an SE-9090 supra edger and the AHM-1000 Supra drilling module, and the RHU-2200 (only CB version) to be equipped with two SE-9090 Supra edgers.
So, thanks to these many configurations, robots and accessories, NIDEK proposes a versatile range of robotised edgers, available for the opticians willing to keep a premium assembly quality while optimising the workflow of their shops.
