NIDEK & Glasspop
NIDEK SA now launches an independent subjective refraction solution in partnership with the company Glasspop. This is a synergetic partnership between NIDEK, unavoidable actor on the market of ophthalmology and refraction, and Glasspop, company specialised in the design of algorithmic solutions.
Automation of subjective refraction
The values coming from the auto-refractometer and the lensometer are sent to the Glasspop Kiosk. Now, the patient conducts his own eye exam thanks to the joystick and button control module in order to record and validate his responses.
At the beginning of the examination, the patient receives different visual and vocal instructions on the tablet medium support and then directly on the NIDEK TS-610 device. Depending on the patient’s responses, the display of the tests changes and automatically chains up to the device until the correction is got and a proposal for an adapted visual advice is made.
Think refraction differently
Today the Glasspop kiosk proposes to ophthalmologists a new patient path, thanks to an innovative and unique refraction solution.
This solution completes the ophthalmologists’ habits so they can adapt their offer of cures by considering refraction in a different way. Thanks to the Glasspop Kiosk, the welcoming capacities of the rooms can be significantly increased to save time and improve the flexibility inside the structure. The high added-value tasks (additional examinations, pre-surgery reports, training the patient, etc.) can be redistributed to local teams. This solution efficiently assists the transfer of the tasks to orthoptists.
The Kiosk is a compact Plug & Play solution that can easily integrate to any existing organisation, still respecting the constraints related to the COVID.

La station ou le kiosk Glasspop référencés BFK sont des dispositifs de télémédecine ophtalmologiques permettant à un patient âgé de 18 à 65 ans, vierge de toute pathologie ophtalmologique connue, de bénéficier d’un test visuel automatisé. Une ordonnance de lunettes, si besoin, est émise par télémédecine par un ophtalmologiste lecteur et interprète des résultats. Ils sont reliés à trois appareils ophtalmologiques permettant la prise de mesure.
