The OT-4200 is the only consultation unit designed to host people with reduced mobility (this unit is very comfortable and can also be used for valid persons). Two instruments can be fitted on the plate. Also a powered translation refractor arm completes the OT-4200 offer.
The OT-4200 is a unit designed for 2 instruments and a powered translation refractor arm (unique on the market). The unit was designed keeping in mind that the units for people with reduced mobility proposed on the market can only fit the existing units. The patient’s seat is removed to let the wheelchair in. Nevertheless the examination remains difficult to perform.
To meet this specific requirement, NIDEK has decided to develop the OT-4200 unit. It is the only unit on the market designed for people with reduced mobility, but it can still accommodate valid people. The distance between high and low positions of the plate is 35 cm. It is the biggest distance of all the units on the market. From a height of 61 cm, the plate can move up to 96 cm.
The armchair is equipped with a castor system that is automatically expanded when the column reaches the upper position. It is attached to the table thanks to an easy access ‘jack’ connector. So the armchair can be easily moved away to let a wheelchair in.
The cutout performed in the plate makes possible inserting a wheelchair between the armrests, to position the devices as close as possible to the patient. The whole set is stable during the examination, thanks to an electromagnetic brake controlled from the panel or a foot control.
The OT-4200 is based upon the ‘constant eye height’ principle and is equipped with a powered translation refractor arm. Therefore the practitioner saves times, thanks to a single adjustment at the beginning of the examination.
To make the practitioner comfortable and to optimise the consultation time, the OT-4200 is equipped with 2 complete control panels, one on the unit, and the other one on the plate. Therefore it can be used depending on practitioner’s position and the plate height.
The OT-4200 comes standard with a drawer to store the daily instruments.
